A Dog Named Boone Was Pinned Against a Balcony Railing and Beaten With a Belt in Austin, Texas

On an apartment balcony in Austin, Texas, an 8-year-old Blue Lacy dog named Boone was trapped with nowhere to run. A man held him against the balcony railing, pinning the helpless animal in place so he could not escape.

Then the blows came. The man struck Boone again and again with a belt and a towel, while the terrified dog barked and yelped in clear distress. A neighbor who heard his cries began recording, capturing the abuse that was later posted online for the world to see.

Boone endured this with no way to defend himself, his body braced against the railing as the strikes kept landing. The sounds of his suffering were so unmistakable that they drove a stranger to film what was happening and sound the alarm.

Boone was finally removed and placed in the care of Austin Animal Services. He was found to be in generally good health, but the trauma showed in his behavior, he was defensive, fearful, and sensitive to even being touched. A judge later ordered that he be permanently separated from the man who hurt him.

Sign now if you agree that what happened to Boone was wrong, and that the person who beat him should never be allowed to keep an animal again.
